Refund policy

At Biome Theory, we offer a simple 30-day money-back guarantee on your first order, subject to the terms below.

This policy applies only to purchases made directly through biometheory.shop. Purchases made through other retailers or marketplaces are subject to their return policies.

30-Day First-Order Money-Back Guarantee

If you are a first-time Biome Theory customer, you may request a refund for one product from your first order within 30 calendar days after delivery.

To receive a refund:

* The order must be your first order from biometheory.shop.
* You must request the refund within 30 calendar days after delivery.
* You may return only one product from the order.
* You must return the product to Biome Theory.
* You must receive return instructions before sending the product.
* You may use this guarantee only once per customer.

The product does not need to be defective. You may request a refund if you tried it and decided it was not right for you.

Refund Amount

We will refund the amount you paid for the eligible product, after discounts or promotional credits, plus applicable taxes for that product.

We will not refund:

* Original shipping charges
* Expedited shipping charges
* Package protection or shipping insurance
* Return shipping costs

You are responsible for return shipping.

Subscription Orders and Starter Kits

Your first subscription order may qualify for the 30-day guarantee.

If your first subscription order included a complimentary starter kit, you must return the complete starter kit with the product. The starter kit must be:

* Unopened
* Unused
* Undamaged
* Complete
* In its original packaging

If any starter-kit item is missing, opened, used, damaged, or not returned in its original packaging, we will not approve the refund.

Recurring subscription orders after your first order do not qualify for the first-order money-back guarantee.

Bundles and Multiple Products

If your first order contains more than one product, the guarantee applies to one product only.

This includes bundles, multi-jar orders, orders with multiple flavors, and prepaid subscriptions.

Additional products may be returned only if they are unopened, unused, undamaged, in their original packaging, and have an intact safety seal.

How to Request a Return

Email support@biometheory.shop before sending your return.

Include:

* Your name
* Your order number
* The email address used for the order
* The product you want to return
* The reason for the return
* Photos if the order arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect

Use this subject line:

Return Request — Order #[Your Order Number]

Do not send a return without receiving instructions from Biome Theory first.

After receiving return instructions, you must mail the return within 14 calendar days. Use a trackable shipping method. Biome Theory is not responsible for returns lost or damaged before delivery to the authorized return address.

Return Review

We will review the return before approving the refund.

We will confirm that:

* The returned product matches the order
* The return was requested on time
* The product meets the requirements of this policy
* Any required starter kit was returned complete and in acceptable condition

Refund Processing

After receiving and reviewing your return, we will email you to confirm whether the refund was approved.

Approved refunds will be sent to the original payment method, less any applicable return-label charge and non-refundable amounts listed in this policy.

We will process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post the refund.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, contaminated, incorrectly sealed, or incorrect, contact support@biometheory.shop within seven days after delivery.

Include:

* Your order number
* Photos of the product
* Photos of the shipping box and packaging
* The product lot or batch number
* A description of the problem

We may ask you to keep or return the product and packaging.

If we verify the problem, we will provide a replacement or refund. Biome Theory will pay return shipping when we require the return of a verified damaged, defective, or incorrect product.

We will not deduct any shipping and handling costs  from a refund for a verified damaged, defective, or incorrect order.

A change of taste, change of mind, or failure to achieve a desired result is not considered a product defect. These concerns may qualify only under the first-order money-back guarantee.

Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription before the next order is processed through your subscription-management portal or by contacting support@biometheory.shop.

Canceling a subscription stops future orders. It does not cancel or refund an order that has already been processed, fulfilled, or shipped.

A return request does not cancel a subscription. You must cancel the subscription separately.

Items Not Eligible for Return

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

* Opened or used products, except for one product covered by the first-order guarantee
* Opened or used recurring subscription products
* Additional opened products from bundles or multi-product orders
* Starter kits that are opened, used, incomplete, damaged, or missing original packaging
* Gift cards
* Complimentary promotional items returned by themselves
* Products marked “Final Sale” before purchase
* Products purchased from unauthorized sellers
* Products returned after the applicable deadline
* Products sent without prior return instructions
* Products that do not match the original order
* Products damaged through misuse, tampering, or intentional damage

One Claim Per Customer

The first-order guarantee may be used only once per customer.

Biome Theory may deny a claim if there is evidence of fraud, duplicate claims, false information, product tampering, misuse of this policy, or an attempt to return a product not purchased from Biome Theory.

Changes to This Policy

The policy in effect when you place your order applies to that order.

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
